A look at the Composites Innovation Centre (CIC) in Manitoba which is an industry led, not-for-profit corporation whose mandate is to support and stimulate economic growth through innovative research, development and application of composite materials and technologies for manufacturing industries and to be a catalyst to expand existing business through introduction of new capabilities and/or to attract new businesses to the region.
As advocates of the Manitoba Bioproducts Industry, the Centre is playing a key role in accelerating the development and use of biomaterials as a viable alternative to traditional petroleum based composite materials.
