The New Aston Martin Vanquish

Aston Martin has unveiling its stunning new luxury sports car, the Vanquish.

Aston’s new range-topping model if you don’t count the limited edition One-77 also debuts the company’s latest engineering methods, technologies and design to make the Vanquish a true super GT. For instance, each body panel on the car is constructed from carbon fibre because of its high strength-to-weight ratio and flexibility of form. The car also uses carbon fibre for the splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser.

Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez said:

Vanquish is the ultimate expression of Aston Martin design ethos, engineering innovation and technical ability. It offers luxurious, continent-crossing capability and pure driving excitement without compromise.

The raw statistics for the car are: 573 PS at 6,750 rpm, 620 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 183 mph place the Vanquish firmly into supercar territory.

Designed and hand-built at Aston Martin’s global headquarters at Gaydon in Warwickshire the new Vanquish, available as a 2+2 or 2+0, sits atop a broad line-up of world-class sports cars including the exquisite DB9, sporty V8 Vantage and luxurious four-door Rapide.

Priced from £189,995 RRP first deliveries of the new sports car are expected to begin in the UK and Continental Europe late in 2012.

    the aston isnt bad but the 991 is just superior in almost all aspects. maybe the v12 is a little bit faster on straights than the base model of the 991 and maybe the materials used are a bit more expensive, but the 991 is the original form of a sportscar

I was so happy, for a week. And than problem after problem with the car. Suspension is terrible, electronics too, every 1000km new problem with a car. Very unreliable. It looks like spaceship comparing to other cars on the market, but Ford Focus is a better car. Please make them better! The competition is huge

    The engine (Dual VVT) is a definite step forward. I say that for the interior as well, a very nicely designed and sculpted look. The exterior…I don’t know. I never liked the One77 because I found it too oddly sculpted; too much odd looking pieces here and there. This looks better, but I still think the old DBS’s simplistic approach with a hint of visual flair fits Astons better. It’s starting to resemble a Ferrari now…
