A presentation by Peter Antoinette of NanoComp at this years disruptivate 2012, Peter and his co-founder David Lashmore created a nano-materials company back in 2004

NanoComp was recently designated by the US Department of Defence as “Essential to the National Defense” and has received more than $5 million in federal reearch grants. With the opening of its first 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Merrimack this spring, NanoComp will begin to disrupt several large industries that currently use metals, carbon fibre, polymers and ceramics. Its lightweight sheets, wires, and tapes are the world’s strongest and most conductive materials, with no known competitor. Defence tech, aerospace, and the body armor markets are natural and immediate opportunities.
