Material Science with the Iowa State University

The video takes a closer look at what the Iowa State University is doing to solve problems using material science.

As one of only two universities to have an on-campus U.S. Department of Energy national lab, ISU’s commitment to areas of materials science ranging from computational materials science, to polymers, composites, and biomedical materials science mean it is strongly placed to solve important global issues. With research including the economical replacement of carbon fibre for the renewable energy industry, the use of polymers to deliver anti-cancer drugs, and the ongoing development of essential lead-free solder, the Materials Science and Engineering Department has a great deal to offer both its students and society.
