Scott Bader Acquires ATC Formulated Polymers

Scott Bader has reached an agreement to acquire ATC Formulated Polymers Inc. of Burlington, Ontario with effect from 4th February 2013. ATC was founded in 1988 and manufacturers a wide range of bonding, tooling, fairing, compression moulding and other polyester and vinylester based pastes, supplied largely into the North America.

Philip Bruce, Scott Bader’s Group Managing Director commented:

I see this acquisition as underlying our long-term commitment to the North American market by providing customers with local production. I see this as a first step to being able to offer more speciality products into this critical market. The ATC speciality tooling and moulding products complement the Scott Bader range, and we will work to bring winning products to the global market through Scott Bader’s sales resources. I am delighted that we will continue to receive the support from Tom Johannsen, JP Schroeder, Rita Barclay and the rest of the ATC management team to develop the ATC and Scott Bader business going forward.

ATC will be present on the Scott Bader stand at JEC Europe 2013 exhibition in Paris from 12th -14th March.
