Johns Manville have introduced the MultiStar 819 roving developed for spray-up applications. MultiStar 819 will be made available regionally in Europe from the company’s manufacturing operation in Trnava, Slovakia, where it was developed using a new processing technology.
The company say that the MultiStar 819 roving has been designed to meet ever-more-demanding sustainability targets, is characterised by an excellent chopping behavior with very low antistatic, which improves the dosing consistency during the spray-up application. The sizing has been designed for fast wet-out behaviour to increase productivity.
Mauro Malanchini, the sales leader Johns Manville Fibers Europe business, stated,
This new development further strengthens the MultiStar product portfolio already in use for SMC (sheet molding compounds), panel moulding, LFI (long-fibre injection) for PU reinforcements, and weaving operations in Europe with more than a dozen product offerings in assembled rovings.
