Matrix Composites Gets Contract to Produce Composite Components for US Army

Matrix Composites have announced the award of a contract from Materials Sciences Corporation (MSC) to produce carbon fibre reinforced composite Hardback assemblies for the US Army’s Reduced Weight Missile Launcher (RWML) Program.

The project was given to Matrix Composites to continue the US Army’s Armed Scout Helicopter (ASH) and Joint Attack Munition Systems (JAMS) Project Offices goals for reduced weight, low-cost and long life assemblies for the Kiowa Helicopter. Production of the Hardback assemblies will be performed in Matrix Composites’ Rockledge, FL manufacturing plant and is expected to be complete by 2014.
