Element Materials Acquires Accutek

Element Materials Technology has announced the acquisition of materials testing business Accutek.

Accutek is a company specialising in a wide range of mechanical tests, metallurgical tests, weld services and consultation services. The laboratory, based in Cincinnati has Nadcap accreditation for Metallic and Non-Metallic Materials testing.

Charles Noall, President and CEO of Element, says:

This investment supports our highly successful ‘buy and build’ growth strategy and will see Element extend its reputation in the Medical Device market, a sector that we see significant growth potential in. The move also strengthens Element’s position in the international Aerospace market; the Accutek team will work closely with colleagues across all Aerospace laboratories, but particularly with the Engaged Experts at Element Cincinnati, with the area a key hub for our leading Prime partners.”

This is Elements second acquisition from within the aerospace this year, having recently confirmed the purchase of German company GEVA, a specialist provider of materials, product qualification and systems testing to the global Aerospace industry.back in January.

Since 2011 Element has successfully completed seven acquisitions and anticipates there being no disruptions to normal operations for Accutek or its clients.
