Momentive Specialty Chemicals has announced the completion of its new epoxy resin and curing agent production facility in Brazil.
The new expansion, which will allow the company to grow into the South American market will produce epoxy resins and curing agents for large diameter wind turbine blades.

Momentive have been in the wind energy sector for over 25 years and have partnered with rotor blade and turbine manufactures to increase electrical yield, decrease costs per kilowatt hour, and deliver the technology that make larger turbines and blades possible. The expansion was recognised by the Brazilian Development Bank, which focuses on providing financing for Brazilian machinery and equipment, as well as imports of goods of the same nature produced overseas.
