Unitech Composites Invited to Participate on University’s Advisory Board

Unitech Composites, part of the AGC Composites Group, has been invited to participate in the Industrial Advisory Board of the Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering at the University of Idaho.

Rick Hundley, President of Unitech Composites said;

We are very pleased to participate in this type of forum with the University of Idaho. This new relationship will strengthen Unitech’s role as a high technology leader within the region, as we seek to grow aerospace professional and technical jobs here in Northern Idaho.

As part of the University of Idaho’s commitment to produce graduates who are equipped to begin competitive and productive careers in the engineering professions, the Industrial Advisory Board provides assistance and input on curriculum review, strategic planning, accreditation and fundraising.

Students receive a solid foundation in both the Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering fields, including hands-on labs that give the students practical application and experiences in the research arena.

The Advisory Board members make recommendations for the curriculum based on current industry technology and best practices. This provides a two-fold benefit to industry by providing both marketable students and skilled employees that will be able to make an immediate impact.
