Horn Creates Composites Business Unit

HORN, have announced that it has formed its seventh market focused business unit, Composites & Fabrication Materials. The new unit will focus on the fibre reinforced plastics and fabricated parts industries. A newly formed exclusive partnership with PCCR USA, Inc. to distribute their Vinyl Ester, Isophthalic, Terephthalic, Orthophthalic & DCPD Polyester Resins as well as their Fire Retardant Vinyl Ester & Polyester Resins.

PCCR USA, formerly the coatings and composites resin business of Hexion and Momentive, is associated with Polynt SpA, a global producer of composites resins, compounds, plasticisers, anhydrides and their derivatives. HORN’s Composites & Fabrication Materials unit, led by vice president, Parry Foskett, and sales manager, Robert Wingfield, will immediately begin distributing PCCR USA’s composite resins and servicing all customers in the Western and Southwestern region of the United States.

Foskett, HORN’s Vice President of both Advanced Materials and the Composites & Fabrication Materials Unit, comments,

The expansion of our focused market facing, exclusive supplier representation business model, to include the chemistries and products used by fabricators of composite and plastic parts is a natural progression for HORN and fills a much needed void in the FRP industry. PCCR USA and HORN believe such a partnership was not only needed in this market, but could be a platform for new growth both for HORN and for new and existing HORN principal partners. With PCCR USA we have a premiere composite resins line to anchor the CFM business unit and complement our existing product lines as well as to attract new principals focused on this sector. HORN’s approach is to work side by side with our principals as a true extension of their organisation. HORN clearly understands who they work for and why and our growth and operating success proves that our exclusive model works.
